Q10. How are the registration fees determined? Are there any reduced fees?

The registration fees are based on our long history of running this conference. We have a good idea of our fixed contractual costs for IT, space, transportation, student support, and base catering charges. From these fixed costs, we subtract the expected contributions from sponsors and exhibitors, and pro-rate the remaining costs among the expected number of attendees. Because of generous sponsor and exhibitor support, each attendee’s costs is subsidized. This forces us to cap attendance near our estimated attendance to avoid significant financial losses, so attendees are advised to register early. And because the Symposium operates revenue neutral, we do not set aside funds to help offset any individual attendee’s costs.
